How to Stay Creative Without Burning Out: The Power of Creative Blocking
When you’re constantly innovating for clients, generating fresh ideas, and pushing creative boundaries... are you experiencing creative burn out? Does it come from an endless supply in your mind, or do you have to foster an environment for ideas to germinate, so to speak?
Recent realization: I'm noticing that when I make time for my own creative practice—just for me—I show up with better ideas and more energy. The quality of my work goes up, and I am MORE productive. This isn't about being an artist, it's about having a GUILT FREE segment of time to THINK and explore in your work, that has great returns on your efforts after. This applies to any role and industry!
This is a snapshot of my “creativity blocking,” where for about three hours a week, I carve out distraction-free time to paint while blasting Bad Bunny or Gypsy Kings. I leave feeling inspired, and ready to use my brain power to move projects along!
I have a list of creativity blocking ideas I'm working on that I'll share soon! Really curious how people stay fresh and creative constantly without burning out if you'd like to share 😁
