Behind the Scenes: A Look Inside Our Summer Art Camps

Curious about what a day at Cherrywood Treehouse Art Camp looks like? Let’s take you behind the scenes! Our camp is a vibrant, welcoming space where kids are free to explore, create, and connect with other young artists.

A Typical Day at Camp

☀️ The Daily Doodle Morning Warm-Up – We start with a fun creative exercise to get ideas flowing. This is called the Daily Doodle, where we’ll doodle using prompts in our daily doodle books.

Each artist gets a personalized printed Daily Doodle book.

🎨 Daily Art Projects – Each day, kids dive into hands-on projects like painting, printmaking, and mixed media. Some projects will be done in a few hours, and others will be worked on daily over the course of the camp.

🖌️ Creative Free Time – We set aside time for kids to explore materials, try new things, and make art on their own terms.

🎭 The Art Show – At Art Camp pick up, we’ll have an art show for parents and friends. Each artist will give a mini artist talk where they dive into their their creative process. This is something we practice throughout the week, so they feel comfortable speaking in front of others about their art!

🍃 Outdoor Inspiration – We’ll take several brain breaks during the camp by taking a step outside. It will be very hot - so these will be pretty brief, then it’s back to the AC!
